Using the Drive Apps

The following functions are available on a Windows or macOS computer:

• Displaying synchronized data

• Changing synchronized folders

• Enabling the Finder extension on macOS

  On a macOS computer you have to enable the Finder extension before using the functions for opening or sharing.

• Viewing or editing files in the browser

• You can share files and folders with other users or external partners:

  • Windows, sharing data

    The data will be shared by inviting specific persons or by providing a public link.

  • macOS, sharing with public links

    You can give this link to other persons. The data are shared with read permissions.

  • macOS, inviting to a shared item

    The data will be shared with internal users or external partners with read or edit permissions.

• Pause synchronization

• Closing the Drive app

• Settings on a computer
